Cyber TMX Laser
The powerful 150-watt Cyber TmX thulium laser provides the ideal blend of high-efficiency cutting and effective coagulating effects, making it the most ideal prostate laser instrument available.
Many of the risks associated with other laser wavelengths are minimized and/or avoided with the Cyber TmX. Click Here To See Safety Features Unmatched Speed
For cutting and vaporizing speed the powerful Cyber TmX has no rival. Compared with holmium lasers, the Cyber TmX wavelength is absorbed by tissue 2.5 times more efficiently and compared with green-light lasers or other lower-powered thulium lasers, the Cyber TmX will reduce vaporization time by 40% .
Due to the cutting characteristics and available laser fibers that the Cyber TmX offers, the surgeon has the option of vaporization, or vaporesection™ which allows for the selection of the optimal approach. Only the 150-watt Cyber TmX does it all.
Most lasers are used to either vaporize or resect tissue, but The Cyber TmX can both vaporize and resect tissue. In prostate surgery for example, a surgeon may wish to vaporize smaller glands and resect larger prostates to reduce treatment time or obtain tissue samples for pathological evaluation.
Since there are separate reimbursement codes for laser enucleation of the prostate (CPT 52649) and laser vaporization of the prostate (CPT 52648) the dual capability of the Cyber TmX not only provides clinical advantages, but economic ones as well.
Although the Cyber TmX is unsurpassed for prostate surgery, it is also a highly versatile surgical laser for many other surgical procedures, including; bladder neck incision, opening strictures, vaporization or excision of bladder tumors and partial nephrectomies, just to name a few. The Cyber TmX combines the cutting efficiencies of a CO2 laser with the hemostatic properties of a holmium laser making it a perfect multi-application laser across a range of clinical applications.
Since 2-micron laser energy is absorbed primarily by water which is ubiquitous in all tissue, the speed of cutting and vaporizing will remain relatively constant regardless of tissue vascularization. Energy from the Cyber TmX travels only two-millimeters beyond the fiber tip in water and penetrates tissue less than one-millimeter providing the surgeon with a high degree of control over the energy delivery.
The Cyber TmX laser is easy to use with a short learning curve. Its portable design and modest foot-print makes it easy to move around without adding significantly to congestion in the operating room. The Cyber TmX is quiet, energy-efficient and low-maintenance further adding to its appeal. Click Here To See Safety Features
